Toyota has managed to give the new Land Cruiser 300 a shape that is distinctive from its most recent predecessors. The Land Cruiser has a Multi Terrain driving mode system that tweaks the settings for the brakes, suspension, and engine parameters. In low-range, there are Auto, Sand, Mud, and Rock settings. High-range offers Auto, Dirt, Sand, Mud, and Deep Snow modes. Switching between these configurations is as simple as turning a dial near the driver on the center stack.
Toyota says it has redesigned the Land Cruiser's character by merging technologies accumulated over many years with the latest technologies, to achieve improvements such as vehicle weight reduction, lowering the center of gravity, the adoption of a new powertrain, and new interior and exterior designs. The frame itself was redesigned to reduce weight and increase rigidity.
