The first-ever Land Cruiser 71 model in 2024 will come equipped with a four-cylinder, 2.8-liter 1GD-FTV diesel engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Regardless of the engine, it delivers power to a full time four-wheel-drive 4X4 transfer case with high and low range. It has offroad features including front and rear differential locks, cruise control, EURO 5 Emission standards, refrigerator, Downhill start assist control and three-door wagon body styles. The suspension, interior and basic layout of these models are nearly identical to the more famous longer wheelbase 76 series Land Cruisers, but the frame and body is much shorter, with 3 doors boxy shape. This allows the Land Cruiser to be nimbler off-road. This model was popular as a personal off-road transport, and almost exclusively as a commercial and government vehicle.

This is a great 4WD that is unassuming, no-nonsense, built with a purpose, mission-ready, and shamelessly simple. This truck was designed specifically for off-roading, and its 4WD setup hasn't changed in a long time, so it's still as ruthlessly efficient off-road as it ever was. The Land Cruiser 71 is built to withstand challenging off-road circumstances. Usually, it has sturdy suspension systems, solid axles, and four-wheel drive. The Land Cruiser 71 series is renowned for its robust construction and is built to last, making it appropriate for harsh environments.
